Where else do I get this??

Hi everybody, I was wanting to know if any of you know of somebody who makes a 1/35 Jagdtiger besides Tamiya, the only reason I was shying away from their kit is because of it’s heavy 70 dollar price tag. Any help would be great!

Thanks, Jim

Dragon has put out several over the years. The latest two are these:

http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/dragon/dr6285.htm

They are about $40 or so or even less on ebay.

Dragon have done several in 1/35th.

The most recent is the premium edition “Porsche” version #6351

Previously, they released an updated “Henschel” version #6285

Both of the kits above are updated versions of older kits, with 6285 being raised to the equivalent of a “premium edition” kit before they began applying the “premium edition” tag line. 6351 was released recently and should be readily available. 6285 wa released several years ago and goes in and out of production periodically and may be more difficult to locate.

I don’t have the part numbers of the older original kits at hand, but these may still be available, as they also have had production runs in the last couple of years if I recall correctly.

PS: LuckyModel in HK have the new Tamiya kit listed at $43.99+$10.80 shipping, for a total of $54.79

Sprue Brothers have the older Dragon Henschel version #9036 listed at $27.99 (plus shipping) and the new #6351 Porsche version at $36.49

Phil_H Have you ever ordered from sprue brothers, just woundering how they are sending stuff outside the US. Those prices are amazing. In the UK we are looking at £48 for the Tamiya Jagdtiger and only a few £ less for the new DML one. The weak £ has really hit us bad on kits, some of the new ones, both aircraft and armour, have gone up £10 pond in a month. On a £40 kit for the originaly price thats a hell of a rise.

No, sorry. I usually shop with LuckyModel. I did check SB’s site though, because they have the reputation of having some of the best prices around.

The Aussie dollar has taken a big hit too, down to about $0.62(US), down from a high of about $0.97(US) only a few months ago…

Needless to say it’s made a bit of a dent in my shopping habits… [sigh]

have you tried EBay?
