Where do you buy your models on-line?

I was looking for a good site that sold all the goods. So far ive only ordered a kit once on-line. I was just wondering what sites you go to that have AM and PE and models, and paint and…

you have asked a loaded question. you will find as many answers as you will the people who responded. i will offer my opinion, i have ordered from and am very happy with squadron.com. http://squadron.com/Index.htm
I am currently getting an order together for international hobby supply.http://www.internationalhobby.com/ihs/ i have not used them though and cannot say how good or bad they are.

I tend to split up my on-line business. Most kits I buy from http://www.greatmodels.com/ because they tend to have the lowest prices on the kits themselves. I also get some of my aftermarket stuff from them. Most of my PE sets were bought from http://www.hometown-hobbies.com/home_page because they are a little bit cheaper. However, I’ve bought kits, aftermarket stuff, bits, and pieces from many other online stores.

Try out a few and see who you like the best. My only advice would be to check out shipping costs. Some times these can run as much as a single kit. However, since most of my online orders were over $100 or $150 dollars, most of my orders were shipped free of charge. If you wait until you have a large order to place, you can save on shipping.

I’ve used squadron.com and rollmodels.com the most, but I do check some of the other sites mentioned above, just to compare inventory and prices. I usually try to get as much in one order as I can, just to save on shipping and the like.

Great models is good when they have the stuff in stock…I also like Squadron…and love buying from Steve at Scale Hobby when I can…but recently, after meeting the guy at a model show, I’ve been doing business with the guy from www.hobbyunderground.com… he’s a retired construction worker…young…who’s just running a shop from his home. About my age with kids about my age-- he is just an all around good guy- and his prices are pretty good as well…

LOL-- just went to the link to see what was what and his site is down…LOL Well-- Mark is a pretty good guy just starting out, so the website is constantly being worked on.

I’ve had very good luck with http://www.greatmodels.com/ myself as the others hve suggested [#ditto] In fact, I placed another order with them today[:D]

I’ve had been very satisfied with the service and the prices at www.rollmodels.com.

I use Squadron and Micro Mark.

However, for Japanese kits I look to Hobbylink Japan: http://www.hlj.com/

and for European, Hannants: http://www.hannants.co.uk/

Most of business goes through www.greatmodels.com, though they can be hit and miss in service. They have the largest selection and many photos of merchandise.
I had good success with www.rollmodels.com and www.modelexpoinc.com.

I use Squadron and Micro-Mark, although just this afternoon I ordered a kit from Commander Series/Iron Shipwright for the first time.

ive looked at aa lot of the sites, especially squadron, ive heard to many good things about them to not. Thanks guys i was just wondering, ill probably visit some of those other sitest oday

i buy mine from ebay , got myself a tamy f4j from the usa for £47 that included the postage result

I order most of my stuff from Squadron. Most orders ship the next day and prices seem fair. My only complaint is that there is no way to track your order – you just have to be patient and wait.

Great Models usually gets a lot of positive press, but I had a bad experience on my first order. I’ve placed a second order only to use a “store” credit and will likely not use them again. But, that’s just my opinion, of course.

Iknow i am behind on this post but it seems that lately i have got most of my kits from
E-BAY. Some you can get for a steal! I got lucky a while back and got aFAMO with trailer for $72 that includes shipping! For these you have to be pacient.

I haven’t ordered a lot online, but Squadron (www.squadron.com) is great. I’ve gotten a lot of ICM stuff from Alanger (www.alanger.us) and of course, e-bay, but I did get screwed once on e-bay, and am still sore about it. I’ll probably never go to e-bay again.

I’m usually hesitant about buying anything on ebay. It’s not worth it for me just to save a few bucks, and I’ll usually only use ebay for something that I can’t find anywhere else.

Hello, newbie here.

How about eHobbies.com? Their prices are cheap compare to other companies.

I order the majority of my stuff from Squadron. I place the order on-line, and its at my door five days later. Their sale items can somrtimes be 50% off or more.
