"When you can't escape your past (hobby)"

I spent the day rebuilding our little garden wagon for the second time. It’s been 20 years and a couple of gardens later.

Here’s the old bed. Flipped over. I’d completely forgotten where I got the plywood from.

Looks like it’ll handle another twenty! I notice that the tires are air filled. Does that work better over soft ground?

It looks stronger now, like you went from a Sherman to an Abrams.

Very realistic weathering

Needs more rust and a pointing German officer [:)]

White walls would spruce it up a little. [;)]

Anyone see the bones of the former hobby?

HO scale?

Yeah ;

I think he was a carpenter , Hmmm T.B.

Close- N scale but a double track mainline…

Yes, it’s a cruel world out back…

Hmm, well done and appears to be “Hell for stout” as Dad used to say. It does seem a bit utilitarian and maybe needs to appear more Garden oriented and/or Eco-friendly. Camoflauge comes to mind as in blending in with the surroundings rather than hiding to kill people or things. Something subtle like equipment used for bird watching. Green means plants and garden or other Ag stuff and would be the preferred dominant color I think. Longevity would also be improved with paint which could make it availaible for future generations to come.

A slight rounding of the right angle corners could improve streamlining, design and provide added safety factors.

Other than that, it looks great, good job! [8-|]

Is that the chassis from a Radio Flyer or some other little red waggon?

When I was 13 or 14, I took mine, spray-painted it silver and wrote “Spirit of Harleysville” on it (my old hometown), and then we’d take turns riding it down a steep hill. My dad still has it and uses it as a garden waggon.
