When will we ever get a descent...............

Prowler/Intruder in 1/48??
Is the Monogram the only one in 1/48 and does it still have raised panel lines?

NEVER…sez I. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…

The same day you see satan in walmart buying iceskates.

Monogram is the only game in town, replete with raised panel lines. But I’ve seen some very impressive models built from the old kit.

Regards, Rick

That kit does build up nicely with a little TLC. The shape is very close to the real deal and there is quite a bit of aftermarket stuff out there. It would be nice to see a more modern tooling though. Eh, whatta ya gonna do?

Wait a little while and get a Growler.

Want a few for USS Coral Sea CV-43. But as you say guys, you’ll probably see a nice one in 1/48 about the same time as you can see pigs fly, or when hell freezes over and satan’s selling tickets to the iceskating rink.

I was just happy to find my Hasegawa/Revell kit in Oki before we left. Yeah, it has raised panel lines, but it came with Cartograf decals for a USMC squadron, so I’m happy, just have to plow through a few more kits before I get to it.

Then there’s the 1/32 Intruder by Trumpeter that’s coming soon…but you asked for 1/48. right?
Nevermind!

Odd that one of the most successful all weather ordnance delivery platforms has been neglected in 1/48…wouldn’t you love to see Accurate Miniatures do one? (Yes, I know they only do props at this stage…but they’ve done cars, too - you just never know)

Airfix did do a Prowler in 1/48 scale.I remember the reviews were that it was basically accurate ,but somewhat simplified ,with a colour ful decal sheet.Haven’t seen one for some years .

Why does everyone get so hung up on panel lines???
