…another REVELL 1/72 U Boat VII C? They are very scarce and coming across one today comes at a price. I’m currently working on one (kit # 05015) and I’d like 2 more for something I have planned with them.
Also, I’ve got a while ago a Lindberg C-8J Crusader in 1/48th and left me disappointed. It was my 1st Lindberg kit ever. So, how good is Lindberg’s 1/72 IJ C-1?
The kit was laughed at in most reviews as being more of a toy than a scale model…just say “no” to the Lindberg sub…
I can of had a hunch it wasn’t that good. I saw it available at my local Hobby Town and felt tempted but decided to ask 1st.

They’re so bad that at most model shows I’ve been to lately they have raffled them off…
It’s a matter of taste, I suppose. If you want to get the “Wow, that’s one big frickin’ model!” reaction from people who don’t know any better, then buy one of the Lindbergh I-boats. If you are after the personal satisfaction of building an accurate replica with minimal effort, I’d suggest giving this one a miss.
I picked up a Type VIIC off someone on Hyperscale, they come up every month or so in fact someone just sold one with lots of extras.
I almost jumped on a deal for the U-Boat and Gato for $100 but by that time I already had one of each.
