I just got hold of one of these monsters, and would like to convert it to the wheel version. Does anyone know of an aftermarket conversion that is available, or has anyone out there taken on this conversion, and have any advise as to what wheel/tires work for this model? Dave.
There is a 1/48 scale kit out of the Beaver on wheels. Worst case scenario you could order that and scratch build a 1/32 scale set of landing gear using the 1/48 scale aircraft as a guide.
The aircraft was used in Vietnam early on as a spotter, that is the kit you need.
