Whattya know about Lend-Lease trucks in WW2?

Here’s the idea - I’m planning a diorama featuring 3 vehicles - a badly burned, blown-up T-34/76 laying at the bottom of a ravine, a T-34/85 returning from Berlin, and some sort of Russian truck filled with war booty, furniture, etc… the timeframe is late fall, 1945, after the war is over.

Did the US supply canvas topped CCKW 353s to the Russians, or only hardcabs?

I have a Tamiya 6x6 I can use, and I’d prefer a more modern looking vehicle than a GAZ or ZIS.

Thoughts? Comments?

Thanks,

Jeff

  1. Click on main link
  2. Click on link to trucks
  3. Click on truck of choice to get a nice big full-profile picture of the GMC CCKW 353.

Now go back and “pick through” some more of those tips I submitted, OK? [;)]
