1/72 & 1/48 Aircraft, All eras, All types. Why? Because I love airplanes.
WW11 subjects mainly,mostly A/C but lately iv’e been doing 1/35 Armour.
Have a few WW11 Ships to all 1/350 and 1/72.

I only build 1/48 WW II aircraft. I love the diversity of shapes & colors.
I like to build modern planes and helicopters. For some reason, WWII doesn’t really interest me yet. Once I get all my modern kits built up, I will likely start modeling some of the older planes.
Preferably I would build all my planes in 1/32, but since there are only a handful of planes in that scale, as well as the shear cost, consequently I build in 1/48. For helicopters, I build in 1/35. 1/48 heli’s are just too small for me.
German armor in 1/35 scale. Especially Tigers and Panthers. I guess I’m just a cat-kind-of-guy.
P-40s in 1/48.
I’ve always had a soft-spot for the P-40, which I believe has been underrated as a fighter. Not to mention that the planes sport some of the best nose art to keep a modeler happy and busy for a lifetime of building[:)].
Have to agree with Chris about the 1/48 scale-best compromise between size and detail.
