I’m really digging on WWII era halftracks, cargo vehicles and Armored personnel carriers of any time frame. I do, however have a taste for Anti-tank guns and Artillery.
Mostly SdKfz 250’s and 251’s. Not many tanks on my shelf. I plan on an M-3 soon and maybe a Iraq war Bradley by Christmas.

Darn you subfixer, you stole mine kinda. I like armoured cars the most. Don’t know why, I think it might be that I’m intimidated by the good people and their good models, but armored cars aren’t done much I don’t think. I got 3 kits of them right now.
I like to build anything Soviet/Russian. It can be a russian vehicle or something that was sold to one of their client states. I like the wide variety of markings/camo schemes that can be done to the vehicles. My favorite is the T-55.
Got some interesting stuff here. Glad to know I am not the only one who like half tracks of WWII (forgot to menchion WWII) mostly German. I Also like spg and towed guns and cargo trucks all of WWII. And after sume thinking, I think I figured out what I like about them,
Halftacks- All that neat interior stuff for free. And you can really super detail them by adding ammo boxes and tarps and stuff. And they are wheeled and tracked, so if I am ever wanting to build something with wheels and something with tracks, well there I go.
They can aslo have a trailer or towed gun attached or even an AA or AT gun on the back.
There is just so many options.
They are not the beasts of the army like the King Tiger, but they are an important part of the military for many purposes. AND… there is a lot of choices for them, Heck, dragon just came out with 2 new ones. and that Is Why I love WWII halftracks.
SP guns, Well, you get a tank chassis and a really detailed fighting compartement.

Towed guns, THey can go with the Halftracks!!! And they have the detail of the SP gus.

THose are the reasons I like these things. As you can tell, I didnt have a lot to do last night so I just thought… about this stuff.
ANYTHING FROM WWII
For me it would be anything tracked, half or full, although I’ve built a few planes and I am actually working on a car right now (there gos my rep!). Although not on the threads list I like figures too and I always try to include 1 or 2 with every project because the vehicles are nothing with out the crews and look rather barren to me without them.
If there’s one category I crave more than any other, it would have to be recon vehicles from the North African campaign. Both sides used scout cars and radio vehicles with interesting field modifications in the desert conditions, and I find that fascinating.

I Love building mostly tanks… in 1/72 scale!! I love taking them and adding scratch-built interiors. The smaller the model and detail, the better!
Anything WWII in 1/35th scale is hot on my list!

Well, like marines1966, I’m partial to my fellow Marines’ rolling stock, but I’m getting an interest in allied & axis halftracks and light armor/recon vehicles.
I love the old German stuff , they had so many innovative ideas it would be hard to choose from thier roster , the Tamiya Marder was just a great kit , I tricked mine out with massive AM here , but you just don’t have to do that to get a great model . The basic kit is just that good ! I like the big tiger Tanks, Panthers, and the smaller P III series The halftracks are also very kool with many variations . It would be very hard to choose a favorite here , and there is so many AM kits Available now for all of these , the possibilities are almost endless !
With me , it’s the Centurion , in 1/25 scale , then the M 60 series of tanks, in any scale. But I also like Shermans , Panthers , and Tigers. Plus any unusual armor , ie. the T-35.

Ugly Vehicles [yuck], That’s what I like. Not ugly models, ugly vehicles. Things like ISU-152s, Brummbars, Sturmgeschutz, IS-2s and of course, my ugly as sin Sturmtiger! These vehicles just look brutish. [}:)]
WW2 German halftracks without a doubt! i like all German armor but the 251’s and 250’s are the best. i said once before so forgive me if i repeat myself , but i want to do a model of every 251 version and of each model. guess it’ll give me something to do in my retirement[:D]
