Whats the best model of a 1/72 scale F-15C?

Hello,
I have bought a set of the 1/72 scale Lakenheath F-15C decals made by ‘Astra Decals’.
As I see these F-15’s flying over where I live during most weeks I would like to make a really nice model of one of these.
Could anyone suggest the most accurate F-15C model in 1/72 scale.

First let me WELCOME you to the forum Richard. Hasegawa is the best for the F15C, Italeri makes a good one, in my own oppinion, but the Hasegawa is the best.

I haven’t built a 1/72 F-15C but I have an unbuilt Academy F-15E that looks really good. I assume their F-15Cs might be the same.

I’ll agree with Bob3242 - the Hasegawa kit is a real beauty. You won’t be disappointed.

Academy’s offering gives the most bang for the buck, IMHO. Recessed panel lines, 4x Sparrows, 4x Sidewinders, 1x fuel tank, decals for the cockpit, and a choice of tailpipes.

Your decals will be perfect since the ones provided for the model aren’t that good actually…and the AIM-9s are incorrectly shaped; otherwise an above average model.

I’ve built the Hasegawa F-15D which should be nearly identical to the F-15C (I have a C too but haven’t built it) It’s very good but fussy to build, Especially the cans. I used guitar strings for the feather supports. Much better than the kit parts. Academy kits are usually good though I’ve never seen their F-15.

academy’s f-15c is the best! that’s all i can say

hasegawa is a good kit but the academy kit is great kit there is also one if you could find one a shanghai dragon f-15a/c but i recommend the academy one it’s good buy for money and it offers lot’s of details that hasegawa don’t have.

just to add there is also italeri, revell monogram, and another 2 japanese brands that i just lost the box. but they are great kits.

i have the F-15 D and im not too sure about endorsing it. maybe it was the way i put it together, but i would personally go for the hasegawa kit.

Well, I’ve builded the 1/72 Italeri F-15C… It is a really good kit… I don’t know about othe F-15?s… here in my country there are only two or three model kit shops, and I didn’t see another F-15…
