I’m looking for an S-3A Viking to make the US Navy version, and i was wondering to get a recessed panel lines kit…
I’ve already bought an Hasegawa one, but it has raised panel lines…
So anyone can tell me wich would be the best pick???

The Airfix kit must not be any better (if you can even find it!)… Better start practicing rescribing, I believe!
revell or/and italeri have the old recessed Esci viking in line. it must be around any time soon…
Is the new 1/72 Revell S-3A with recessed panel lines???
http://www.revell.de/cgi-bin/kat/katalog.pl#
Is it really an S-3A??? I’ve found some references to it as an S-3B…
Many thanks!!
it hasnt reached yet my local hobbyshop…if it did i would know about it…
Does Hasegawa only have S-3’s with raised panel lines???
What about this one???
http://www.hlj.com/cgi-perl/hljpage.cgi?HSG00156
Is it a reboxed of the one i already have???
Or is a retooling with recessed panel lines???
Thanks!!!
I think that’s the 48th kit you’re talking about…
Fade to Black…
Check the page…
They state it as an 1/72 kit!!!
Another DAMN rebox???
Probably. The one thyamis was talking about, I think, is the old ESCI 48th kit, which is pretty nice for it’s age. It’s just not what you need, though.
Fade to Black…
Well, Revell says it is a 1/72…
I’ve tryed to use theyr forum, but since they have a strange posting policy (we have to click on a link in an e-mail from them, in order to complete the posting… but mine’s not working!!!), i have some problems in posting…
sigh
Many thanks to all, for all this inquiries…
“I’ll be back…
…you gonna do WHAT???”
The Revell S3 is probably a Hasegawa re box.
