Want to build a Großdeutschland Panther D for for a possible Kursk dio. What’s the best one out there?

This is the zimmed kit right? I would say for a Kursk dio no. Zim didn’t start to show up till late August, Sept of 43.

That would be the Italeri kit, but I am wary. Anybody have any experience with the ICM kit? I am leaning towards the 6299 Premium Dragon. What is the best AM PE and other accoutrement?

I did’nt know Italeri made a Panther D but if its anything like their A you’d be better off getting the Dragon 6299 kit.
Voyager models makes a pretty nice pe set for it PE35083
Hans I picked up my Dragon premium kit for 32.00 at one of the shows I attended also picked up the premium Tiger (P) and the stug III G early smart kit for 12.50 each.
You just got to love those show deals[;)]
I am building 6299 right now. It comes with a decent PE sheet (5" x 2 3/4"), aluminum barrel and Magic Tracks. There is a few things you may want to add like a few lower hull welding beads, but it is a good looking kit OOB.

You can find reviews of all of them online. If you’re looking for accuracy right out of the box, the best base to start with is the DML kit.
Check the Eduard site, or even Greatmodels for that particular kit to see what accessories are available for it. But IIRC, the DML one has plenty available for it; tracks, multiple PE sets, barrels, etc.
Perth rates the ICM a close second, but stated that the Dragon kit had better fit and details.
Check ebay, they have quite regularly.

Markings for Kursk, no Zimm and a metal barrel, metal shackles and some nice PE make for a good build.
I built the Dragon Panther G with Zimm and that was a modellers dream imo! I quite like the look of this kit myself - you can’t beat a good Dragon Panther!

I would say the Dragon 6299 is your best bet straight from the box. This kit will get you further faster than any other Panther D I have seen so far.
