Hmm - I am impressed - perhaps you have a very large workbench? I must confess that I have never been able to master the technique of building more than two at once and that is a labour of Hercules! I can see the wisdom in some ways - it would be interesting to know the motivation and reason for multi model builds by contributors.
Last time I posted in one of these ‘What’s Everybody Workin’ On?’ threads, I wasn’t really workin’ on anything. This time 'round, things is a tad different…
I’ve got an ICM MiG-3 which is coming along nicely. That was a bet model which was s’pose’da been done earlier this year. As you can see, I lost the bet.
The B-25 is the ‘J’ glass-nose by Monogram, and is being built for Vintage Aircraft’s Bombers & Monogram GB’s. There’s also an Me 262 for the latter GB, but it’s not in this shot.
I also have a couple of P-51 Mustangs in the works for the Mustang Ranch GB, they’re also not in this shot. I’m trying to decide on some markings for those…
Also not in this shot but something that I have to light a fire under is a pair of Accurate Miniatures McLaren M8B’s. I know they’re not aircraft, but they did have wings. [:p] Anyhoo, I was given these sometime back to build for the AM website and went gung-ho on the first kit when I recieved 'em. I then went into my modeling funk and have only recently re-emerged…
Back to airplanes…
I have a USN A-4 aggressor which is probably ready to go into the finishing stages; I decaled it sometime back and posted photos, but kinda stalled on it because of these other things I’m working on.
I’m getting away from modern subjects more and more and even though aggressors are one of my pet faves, that 'lil Scooter seems to get more boring every time I try to do something with it. It’ll get finished sooner or later. Probably later… much…
Working on moving myself and assorted junk into new home!!! Still having trouble with builders, real estate, lawyers and bank, should all end soon. A flame thrower will be handy, does anyone have a spare one lying around?[}:)][}:)]
Well I’m a master of starting kits but not so good at finishing them (attention span of a gerbil) so I’ve got a little bit of a list going.
Currently
1/72 Hasegawa P2V7 Neptune (being built as a firefighting air tanker)
1/72 Revell S2A Tracker (being built as a firefighting air tanker)
1/72 ACE AF1 Guardian firefighting air tanker
1/72 Heller DC6B (being built as a firefighting air tanker)
1/72 Heller Allouette 3
1/48 Revell Moonie Super 21
1/48 Cessna 150
1/25 AMT 1950 Chevrolet pickup (being built as a fire engine)
1/25 AMT 1992 Ford F150 (being built as a mini-pumper)
1/35 Revell M13/40 Italian medium tank
1/35 Revell M40 Semoventi Italian SP gun
1/35 Revell Marder 3 German SP gun
1/35 Tamiya SdKfz 222 German armored car
I’m trying to get most of these finished before starting anything new but I have quite a stack of unstarted kits calling me so not sure how long I’ll be able to resist [:)]
Whoa! Where did you find the General??? I loved watching the Dukes of hazzard way back in the 80’s (though, i think these were re-runs). Pls post pictures of the General when you’re done!! [tup]
As for my work bench:
1/48 Accurate Miniatures TBF-1C Avenger
1/48 Revell F-86D SabreDog
1/72 Academy B-17G
1/24 Fujimi Honda EK9
1/72 Revell Tiger 1 Ausf H
I currently have the following under construction:
1/48 Tamiya Republic P-47D Thunderbolt Bubbletop
1/48 Hasegawa McDonnell-Douglas (now Boeing) AV-8B Harrier II Plus
1/32 Tamiya McDonnell-Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle (going on 4 years for this one).
I have about 125 kits waiting to make it to the bench.
That’s all my allotted closet space will hold. Besides, if I build every one of 'em without buying another kit (hahahahahahahahahahaha!!! I crack me up sometimes!![:D]), it’ll take me about 20 years, at the rate I build.
