What's better masking agent? Silly putty or Play-Dough?

Will be building an aircraft for which I’ll want a very light feathered edge on the camo, and am wondering what is a better masking agent, Silly Putty or Play-Dough. I would think Play-Dough would be more economical but not sure which has better properties.

Thank you,

Dave

Not sure but I think Play-Dough may leave a stain.

[#ditto] It looks really greasy

i use Silly Putty all the time,it’s the correct choice out of the two

Thanks for the replies. I’ll stick with the Silly Putty or Blu-Tac if I can find it.

Thank you!

Dave

I used Blue Tack on a ship model and it worked well.

Bed, Bath and Beyond sells a Blu Tac like stuff that works great. It is yellow in color. I tested some on the bottom of the wing of a finished model and forgot it was there for about a month or so. Pulled it off and it did not leave a mark of any kind.

FSM ad an article about this and i think they used Silly Putty .
