What kit, AM accessory, ref, etc. have you been looking for lately with no luck? Has it been something out of production for awhile, rare, or just hard to find?
For me it is the BMP2 Afghan by DML in 1/35th scale…had it once, gave it away and now want another one! I believe it is now out of production.
Maybe if we all list the one item that alludes us we actually might find out where one is!

I’ve been trying to find the old Revel UDT Boat w/ Frogmen. I built it when I was a kid, without paint mind you, and I want to give it another go properly this time.
I spent the longest time trying to acquire the DML Maus. Everytime I would bid on Ebay it would go for $50-$70. Much more than I was willing to spend. I finally managed to win one for about $25, shortly thereafter Dragon must have re-issued them since now they are everywhere.
I had been trying to get the old Tamiya Wirblewind off ebay for under 20.00, but had no luck for at least 8-9 attempts. Finally there was a “make an offer” auction, and it had the old Eduard PE set with it, I got a counter-offer of like, $32.00 for all and couldn’t turn that down! I’ve seen the kits alone go for that much.
Manny, I swear I just saw a BMP2 Afghanistan on there recently–I’ll keep an eye out for one!
The UDT was reissued about 10-11 years ago when I was stationed in Alabama, at the same time they reissued the River Assault Group boat, Swift boat and many of the old Monogram Willy Ley spacecraft kits. I bought one then, it was a fun trip down memory lane and a pretty decent kit for a 40 yr old (at the time) model.
Doog…I hate to tell you this…I just picked one up at Lucky Model for $12.36 + it’s portion of the shipping (about 5 bucks a kit)! [:O]

I’ve been looking for DML’s initial production tiger 1 (kit #6252) (and yes, I want to build another Tiger). Did it go out of production, because I can’t find it anywhere!?!

You have to keep your eye on ebay!! I picked up a Revell Ontos which was a re-release still wrapped for ~$20 a while back. As far as the M56, they never come cheap, just keep trying.

Also, a Revell Leopard 1A5… it’s OOP. I’d want it to do a conversion to a Canadian Leo C2.
I built the Ontos and M-56 many years ago, and now have a mint sample to copy one from. There happens to be an Ontos just setting about twenty minutes south of me. Now I want to do another one. Always liked the M-56 for some odd reason, and the LRDG is a legend in iteself!

They pop up all the time on ebay, but usually fetch a premium. They are OOP. Knowing Dragon, they will re-release them again.
The likelihood of the Initial Tiger I being re-released is low at this point in time…because it’s a much narrower subject matter vs. the Tiger I Late, but you never really can tell what DML will or won’t do depending. Their focus seems to be on zimmerit kits at the moment but that could easily change.
I have an initial in my stash that I probably will never build, along w/ some Archer drys for it…

The M50 Ontos is a 1/32 scale kit originally produced by Renwal. It is a light anti-tank vehicle that mounted 6-105mm recoilless rifles externally. It was developed by the Army for light and airborne forces, but gained its fame with the Marines in Vietnam. (Ontos=“Thing” in Greek). It was reissued by Revell in 1983 (Renwal went OOB and Revell got their molds).
The M56 Scorpion was a 90mm self propelled anti-tank gun (more commonly called the ‘SPAT’). Revell produced the kit in 1/40 scale (that was Revell’s chosen armor scale). It was used by the 173d Airborne Bde (Third Herd) in Vietnam. This kit was last reissued sometime between 1996-2001. I think Revell of Germany released some of the 1/40 scale armor kits as part of the 50th anniversary of Revell.
Leo 1a5 parts are available for sale through Maple LEaf Models, who also makes the conversion set. I built one about a year ago, but I had the actual leo kit…
I am not looking for a particular kit at the moment (of a tank) but trying to find DML’s Mine Plow for the Abrams has been incredibly tricky! Not to mention Echelons USMC Abrams OIF Part 2 decal sheet so I can finally finish my USMC Abrams (I am working on Nightmare’s Witness) would be fantastic!
I desperately want a injection molded merkava IV so I dont have to pay 200$ for my favourite MBT.
