I used gaalerhi aluminum on mine because I was planning on an oxidized look but I retrospect, I might have liked silver better as a base, I think it looks more like shiny aluminum sheet metal.

Yours looks great!

Rant incoming…

I hate rescribing!

Rant ended!

Seriously, my paint job is completely done and it felt perfect, or at least as good as I’m going to get it, but I noticed one of the lines was a little shallow so I pulled out my scribing tape, carefully masked it, pulled out my scribing tools (I have them all) and… Screwed it up. Now I have to fill, sand and repaint. Arg!

Yeah, I’ll get it there, just wanted to get the clear on last night, now I have to wait for the new metal to cure.

That’s a good looking F-18 my friend! Very clean. The decals really bring it to life don’t they?

I got the gap worked out on the I-16 and the flap lines rescribed and it looked good. Got primer on it. Spent so much time and attention on the flaps that i didnt notice the fine fuselage seam line near the nose until after it was in paint. Looks like touch up with a brush for me.

That’s a loaded question haha.. After taking a week to clean/straighten up my mancave, I got the bench cleaned up as well.
Trust me, it wont take long just to have enough room to fit my 1/48th Hasegawa P-39 in lol
Right side is my area and the left is my sons. Sadly what you see on his side is mine as his build is tucked away.

Happy Modeling,
Mike

Got some vehicles and trailers done from a Hasegawa weapon loading set for my B-2 Christmas bomber diorama. How much more ground equipment I plan to build for my B-2 Christmas bomber diorama, I don’t know yet. Painting 1/72 scale figures isn’t going to be great. With my eyesight, they’ll probably look “cheap” if you know what I mean. I won’t be able to detail them too intricately. :frowning: Eventually, the empty trailers will be filled up with bombs, missiles, and Christmas presents. I’ll be working on those things in the next few weeks.

Very cool, do you know if they make those in 1/48? I want to steal your idea for my eventual B-1B build!
