Thanks…good to be back! Heres a few more, but the suspension ended up being a nightmare to align the 8 different assemblies so the base is helping but I’ve got more work to do on it. [grid]

Good ol’ Trumpeter over engineering. Thank you for posting those added pictures. That thing looks gorgeous!!
Hi,
I’m currently working my way through the Fujimi Porsche Carrera RS.
Yesterday I spent the evening building seat belts for it, the lap belts are done, just got to make the shoulder straps now.
Looks like good progress
How did you make the seat belts? Materials, etc?
Welcome to FSM Stephen. That’s some mighty fine progress on that Carrera. Love the belts and buckles. Is that an Eduard Seat Belt set?
Applied 3d rivet decals to replace those that got sanded off.
Done with replacing the rivets on the top side. Tomorrow I’ll work on replacing rivets on the bottom side.
Cheers, it’s fiddly work but pleased with the outcome.
I used this kit.
Oh, the build order in the instructions doesn’t allow for this.
The seats are mounted on lumps that extend from the door interiors.
Which would make access to fitting the belts virtually impossible if you follow the order in the instructions.
I decided to cut off thos lumps, so they could be fitted separately.
Then did a dry run of fitting the door interiors, to check the alternative build order would work.
Then roughly positioned the seats to gauge the lengths of the belts.
Once I’ve finished the belts, I’ll complete the interior.
I’ve used those guys a couple of times and they do indeed have some very good products. Just got through using a set of lug nuts and studs on my T-Bucket build.
Good looking seat belt kit.
A F-86 Sabre from ESCI and a Monogram Hurricane IIC in tropical. All that’s left on the Sabre is a few decals, wash and gloss coat.
A 1/35 Asuka Sherman V with Crab mine flail conversion.
A Kaiyodo 1/35 PAK Krote from Maschinen Kreiger (MaK).
And Kaiyodo’s Jashinhei from Panzer World Galient: The Crest of Iron.
Spent most of an hour looking for the second belay pin rail which had jetted out of my tweezers the day before. Fortunately, found it and got it glued in. Decided to call it a day. (Revell 1/225 Victory )
I hate it when that sh*t happens
At least you found it
That should look really good on the Ford.

Nope, I’ve NEVER had parts fly off and into the carpet… NEVER!!!
I have lost several pin rails on for a Revell Thermopylae I am restoring. I ended up making two new ones from scratch. I plan to be working on it tonight.
