I build, for the most part, vehicles. I would like to build a destroyer ship if I was to switch “specialties” for a moment.
I just found another non aircraft model I would like to build - a Revell 1/72 submarine kit. The ad said it was over 3 feet long! Now all I have to do is talk my wife into letting me display it on the fireplace mantel. [:D]
I build aircraft, but throw in an occasional chopper and car. I would like to build a large modern aircraft carrier, such as the Tamiya kit. I don’t know when I would be able to get around to building one though.
I would try a German Tiger tank and if I knew I wouldnt burn it in frustration, I would build the USS Constitution (Old Ironsides) fully rigged.
My usual fare is starships and modern aircraft but I have my sights on some armor kits to build in the near future. I know I’ll be in up to my neck but I’d like to build Trumpeter’s new Faun SLT-56 tank transporter and a Leopard 2A5 for it to carry. It’ll be a huge undertaking; the completed Faun is nearly two feet long…
I usually build armor, but after seeing the F1 U.S. Grand Prix last year, I’ve been wanting to build an F1 car. The newest Tamiya F1 car may be enough to put me over the edge.
I’ve been dying to take a crack at the Japanese battleship Yamato. The last ship I built was the US battleship New Jersey, back in 1980 or so.
I bought the Tamiya 1/700 waterline kit a few years back, but I’m thinking about doing the 1/350 full hull kit.
So many tanks in the closet, though…
I build ships and aircraft, but several years ago I buildt a Tamiya M1A1 Abrams. It came out okay, but I think I’d like to take a crack at a Tiger Tank, or maybe a Sherman. Soon.
would like to try wooden ship as well, but am to afraid to spend the cash just to not finish or toss in the trash.
I am going to try my hand at doing a Tamiya 1/12 Motorcycle kit. I have never done one and think it would be a nice change (not that I need one mind you [;)] )
Problem is, where did I put all those jars of gloss paint??? [:p]
I have a wooden ship plank on bulkhead kit that I intend to build one of these years. It’s not one of the huge ones but it is a 2 or 3 mast boat. It’s the Bluenose kit, I had to think for a minute or twelve. [:D]
Shermie would like it, it’s a Canadian schooner!!

Erock, you don’t need gloss paint, You’ve got future!!! [:D]

My wife and I both love tall ships. About twelve years ago she talked me into buying a model of the United States. It turned out great, for a guy that does armor and aircraft. Well I’m starting to get an itch to try it again. I would like to do the CSS Alabama and USS Kearsarge. Great ships, great battle!
I’d like to try one of Eduard’s photo etched kits (Storch or Cub) Still a flying machine but a different medium
