What will be on your bench on 1/1/10?

Well I got JACK on the bench…havent touched it in about a week…after that I dont know…I got a great Fw from my Secret Santa…its amazing…tempting but I might want to do some more research on it first…Ive had an itching to do a Corsair…so I might start Tamiya’s with the Moto-tug…

Oh and I also got a F-18 from Santa too…strange looking kit…looked all through the box, couldnt find a propeller anywhere??? The elves looked confused!!![:P] They have never seen a bird like that!!!

Carlos

I think… a Hornet.

If I get some good warm-up sets I’ll do 315 for 8. Might do some heavy singles too, 355, 345ish…

an Audi R8, an SE5a, and then… any one of over 550 kits to choose from. I’m way too confused to begin at this moment!!![8-)]

Right now I’m really itchin’ to have a go at the 1/48 Tamiya A6M5a I received for Christmas this year. A 1/32 Me262 and a 1/48 Albatros D.V (both already started) are not out of the realm of possibility either, but that Zeke looks like such a NICE kit!

OK, you have my attention! I really, really, REALLY am looking forward to those two!

Hehehe, glad to see a few more 262’s coming down the pipe! I’ll be looking for those over at the GB. [;)]

For me, I have wanted to build a 1/32 kit for a while, and have started a couple but not finished them. So, I am starting off next year with a 1/32 Hasegawa Ki-84 Frank (I know, I know…).

Tamiya 1/48 Me 262 (for a group build).

Monarch 1/8 Nosferatu figure (nearly completed).

Bandai 1/35 Zenon Scout (nearly complete).

Aoshima 1/24 Mad Max Interceptor.

MiniArt Studos 1/16 Spartan Hoplite.

Revell 1/35 Colonial Viper.

Do I get an award for having the most diverse list? [:D]

Hope to log some time at the bench this holiday weekend. Here’s what’s started and waiting in the wings for 2010.

First, finishing a 1/48 Revell P-61 Black Widow.

This kit was given to me a couple of months ago by one of my 11 year old’s friends. He and his father started it but then became bored and frustrated with the kit. The cockpit and fuselage halves were assembled. However no painting was done. I’ve sand and polished out all of the excess glue and finger prints. Then painted the interior as best I could considering it was already enclosed in the fuselage. I plan to finish the kit and return it to my son’s friend and his father.

After that I’ll probably be working on a Hobby Craft 1/48 P-35A. I plan on building this as the export version to Sweden, the J9.

The only other kit in my stash at the moment is the Academy 1/48 P-38F Lighting “Glacier Girl”.

Happy modeling to all!

I’ve got 3 planes lined up right now to start in the new year, all in 1/48 Hasegawa kits:

  1. Ju-87R-2 Stuka

  2. F-86F-30 Sabre

3)Bf-109E-4/7 Trop

My bench is just now cleared. I have a couple of new group builds starting up early in the new year. Probably the first subject to hit the bench will be the Westland Lysander in 1/32. Not sure after that but I have a Trumpeter Condor in 1/48 and a Tamiya Storch in 1/48 that will eventually hit the bench in 2010. I have an old Revell Me110 in 1/32 that I’d like to build - it’s been in the stash the longest. There is also a German Panther that I’d like to build as a change of pace build, as I usually build aircraft. I expect this to be a slow year for builds however.

A Revell of Germany 1/144 scale Northrop B2 for the 144 in 144 GB

An Italeri Boing XB-70 Valkyrie in 1/72 scale for the In My Stash GB.

Once those are done I plan to do 5 different Focke Wulf FW190-D9’s at the same time. I have an Academy, Hasegawa, Airfix, Heller and an Italeri 1/72 scale kits that I will do all together assembly line style. Once done I think I might hang them from the ceiling in formation

Both are continuations, Revellogram F-14A and 65 Hertz Shelby.

Tony

Continuing on my Mistel 4 for the 262 GB. Starting a 72nd F-4G for the Phantom GB and also starting a OV-1C for the Eye in the sky GB.

Hey Frank you have a project for that GB too. [H]

Current on bench-

1/35 Trumpeter ASLAV-25 x2 (10%, 1%)

1/48 Dragon Ju88C-6 Zerstorer (75%)

1/72 Academy F-86F Sabre (66%)

1/76 Airfix Tiger I Tank (75%)

1/350 Tamiya IJN Yamato ( **-**10%, dont ask)

onto the bench 1/1/10?

1/48 RoG CH-53G/GS

1/144 for my GB starting on said day, which one? dunno yet, choice of 11.

Andrew

Scratchbuilt Blohm & Voss P.188 -2 1/72. Scratchbuilt Boulton Paul P.111 1/48. That should tie me up until March!

Nothing on the bench 'til I finish the duck cross-stitch that is part of my sister’s Christmas and after that nothing new. I’ve got probably 20 some kits that have been statrted. I’d like to finish one this year.

So no 1/144 on the bench come 1/1?

[sn0ps] Did I really say that?

Andrew

I don’t have to much to go on into the new year, really. I have two builds, still in the box:

Pegasus 1/48 Bf 109G-6

Monogram 1/48 F4F-4 Wildcat (it will be recieving some goodies to make it presentable… [:)])

Happy new year, guys and gals,

-Chris Thulien

Hasegawa’s 1/24 scale 1963 Volkswagen bus. I’m hoping to get some primer on the body tonight; it’s been a while since I painted a two-tone car body!

Matt @ FSM

You are incorrigible, Andrew. As I said before, I do have 1/144 kit with hardly anything done in my to finish pile.

Just because finishing something on my started list is a New Year’s resolution, it doesn’t mean I’m tempted to join.

Just because I’m curious as to whether or not reducing an 1:1 image of a 1/72 PE sheet by 50% and printing it out works for 1/144, it doesn’t mean I’m tempted to join.

Just because the 'bolt is right here at my desk, it doesn’t mean I’m tempted to join.

Just because I was looking at some P-47 plans, it doesn’t mean I’m tempted to join.

Just because I’m nearly done with those annoying ducks and itching to build, it doesn’t mean I’m tempted to join.
