Jeff, congratulations on getting the Mohawk to its new home! I think it’s great what you guys are doing there and I wish you the best of luck with the rest of the project. Thanks for the heads-up. Too bad I live in Holland…[:(]

I was on my second hour at work screwing off on this website.[:D]
BTW, you may need a little more air on the right main tire.

I was at work getting briefed on aviation logistics events for the past 24 hrs.

Well, I was so tempted to put them out on Ebay, but then someone would need a fuselage to go with them, so, ok I’ll bring them back.
(but I still have the rudders and elevator, so what’s your price?)

Jeff I am glad to see you got the Mohawk out and taking it to a better place. I would really like to help you out with one of your recoveries. I sit here and look at these planes just sitting here and going to waste. [V] Maybe one day.

I was probably loading a truck with the loader I operate. [:D] [;)]

I had just started cutting up 1 of two mobile homes I am scrapping, at 7:10 I was calling the FD to put out the fire my torch had started. and at 7:30 I was kicking myself as I had realized I had seriously overestimated the amount of metal that was present. The “aluminum” siding turned out to be wood!. Ah well, still will make about 450 off of the first trailer. Wish I had been with you though, less excitement

Kevin,

Too bad you don’t have access to what I have been operating lately.
It would have made that job quick. [;)]

I’ve waited more than thirty years to see a 1/48 scaled model of a Mohawk, having flown as an observer in the 1970’s. I hope this kit sells so they have a reason to release the B, C, and D versions.

I just got mine, and it’s a nice kit, with a detailed cockpit and plenty of room for detailing.
The Mohawk is one of the most obscure aircraft in history, and never got the recognition it should have. But it was a spy plane, and perhaps it’s appropriate that most people never heard of it.

Wasn’t it also used by the coast guard, customs and the US geological survey admin?

i rolled over, blinked, breathed once, and went back to sleep
