I’ve always wondered… for all the german vehicles they look kinda off white… and the reddish underneath… Am i to assume that the red stuff is the oxide primer and the off white is the original dunkel-whatever sun bleached?
I’d say 1/2 right…the red oxide primer is showing through, but the white is most likely a coat added later and not the original dunkelgelb.
Falcon I do know what these vehicles are.They are the new fall line up of SUV’S and Recerational vehicles from all the major motor companys.It looks like that the hardtops and converitibles are of a even mix this year.I have yet to hear when they will go into productions but I know that most of them are well taylored to the rush hour traffic driver. This year ought to be a record sales year.The NRA is indorsing the green rusted one as there offical traffic buster.They have already named it the cheif and it will be interesting to see how well it performs.Digger…lol
LOL thanx you guys. I really love going out there and just getting lost in all the great weapons they have out there. And Scer16 the green one with no treads is a Semovente da 149/40. Its an Italian vehicle that has lost its tracks along the way. And diggeraone, I would like to have some of the vehicles that are out there, esepially the panthers, the jagdpanther, the jagdtiger. Ok, I would like to have them all.[}:)] Oh and the brummbar still has traces of the zimmerit coating still on it. When I get it posted to my reference topic you can see it on the right side of the vehicle.

Thanks for all the neat pictures. I may never get there, so I’ll take it. I got most of them, The Italian one with no tracks fooled me. It’s a shame the place is letting them go to heck.
Agreed aout aberdeen, but hey it could be worse- they could never have saved them at all and all the ok vehicles would be gone and only in history books, but it could be a lot better, even a simple tarp over them would be fine I think.
I also though the italian one had more upper hull, well I thought it actually had an upper hull. lol

Look at all them beautiful rivets! Too bad they are all sittin out there in the rain and intense sun instead of under a roof in a climate controlled environment. My garage would suffice…

The museum is slowly restoring most of the vehicles out there. But that mostly depends on donations. But what they are mostly trying to do is collect enough money to build an indoor display for them. Heres the museums link, at the bottom of the page you will see what I am talking about. www.ordmusfound.org/ The funny thing is if you look at the pictures on the left side you will see a Crusader. The funny thing is I have yet to see it anywhere out here.
