What ‘upgrades’ should I get for these 2 Monogram B-52D’s

In order to construct the most accurate and detailed models possible, I usually attempt to upgrade my models with extra detail kits, such as those made by Eduard Accessories.

I hope to do the same thing with the two B-52D’s I’m about to begin working on but am having trouble finding extra detail kits for the B-52D. I have found several kits for upgrading the B-52D to a G or H model, but that’s not what I want to do with these models.

Here are some of the few “extra detail” kits I have managed to find and, since I intent to show both of these planes in flight, the only ones I found potentially useful:

I was wondering if I could also get you opinions on the quality/necessity of these detail kits.

Specifically, I want to construct one of the B-52’s as the SAC variant depicted on the box. Part of the reason I’m sticking with this particular model is because it bears the same hull numbers, namely 0629 as a Fletcher Class destroyer I constructed, namely the USS Abbot DD-629. In addition to general detail upgrades for this particular model, I was wondering if any of you knew where I might be able to find better 1/72 nuclear ordinance*. I’m hoping to make the bomb bay doors operational and include a load of (4) nuclear bombs in one clip and (4) ADM-20 Quails in the other.

If any of you know where I could find the appropriate 1/72nd nuclear ordnance for a B-52D, Model-Aire International Quails, and/or other detail upgrades that would improve this model, I’d be greatly interested in using them to improve this model.

I hope to transform the other model into 56-676 circa 1980. This will allow me to integrate this model into my 1:64th scale (‘S’-scale) model layout by featuring it on a training mission.

If any of you know what a B-52D would be carrying during such a mission and where I could find the appropriate upgrades to make the most accurate depiction of this prototype, I’d greatly appreciate it.

*If any of you know the actual nomenclature of the nuclear bombs carried by the B-52D, I’d be interested in learning this both for the sake of the knowledge and because it might aid me in finding models of these bombs. I already know about the AGM-86 and the AGM-129 but neither of these were carried by the D’s.

Thanks in advance.
