What to expect for over $1750.95..........?

That’s what I did.

THIS makes you lose faith in humanity? lol I dunno man, there are a lot of worse things out there.

Also, granted the prices are ridiculously high…according to me and you. We who know how to build it and paint it, and finish it to the standard that this guy is marketing. If you actually LOOK at the vehicles that have bids on them, they actually have some very nice finishing jobs. Does it make one lazy that they don’t want to finish one themselves? Maybe. Does it make them dumb that they would be willing to pay for this? Not really, and I’m not really sure how you came to that conclusion anyways.

Lemme just cut to it and avoid my usual long-winded ‘commentary’.

All this political correctness and fear of offending someone will be our undoing, yet. You don’t negotiate with terrorists, it’s your responsibility as parent if your kid is obese and it’s really okay to call a spade a spade.

In the present case, it’s a model, my dear friends. A freaking model. Plastic and paint, for Pete’s sake!

I saw a complete set of 5 old watchmakers samples from 1905, recently, all housed in a beautiful wooden case. It was an entire set of enlarged watchworks, lovingly handmade, fully functional and a testament to old-world craftsmanship not often seen these days. Value: $5000. I’d pay it if I was interested in such things - they were worth it.

$1600 USD for that model? Any plastic model, for that matter? Not gonna happen.

I’m siding with P.T. Barnum on this one.

This just proves that there is no accounting for taste - twice over[;)] Sorry Doog, but as a refugee from Upstate NY, I gotta give you crap on that one[}:)]

We’re talking about this guy again?[zzz]
