Ok guys so I was looking at this pic and I saw something kind of disturbing… what the heck is the WSO holding up in the back. You can clearly see his hand in the lower portion of the cockpit and its definitely not the pilots…did he chop off someone’s arm as a trophy or what is going on? You guys see it? Its not his other arm cuz you can see that on the left side of the cockpit and like I said its not the pilot cuz both his arms are down and sides they would not bend at that angle anyway. Wierd…

The curved canopy might be causing some distortion in the way the back seater’s arm looks. That’s my guess, anyway.

I rezzed it up and zoomed in on it in photoshop and he is definitely holding something and from what I can see of his face, he thinks it’s pretty funny. Probably some gag he came up with to give the tanker guys a chuckle.
@ CN Spots. I agree. Its probably a gag that he is pulling just to mess with the tanker guys or whoever is taking the shot. Like you said you can clearly see his own hand in the gray flight glove holding onto whatever the hell that is. Its not a felection or refraction of his own arm, you gotta look close and you can see HIS hand at the base of what he is holding. Go figure. Cant imagine where he would stash it though as the cockpit is already small and cramped as it is.
another view zoomed in. Sorry the quality is so low but here you can see that he is holding something. You can see his fingers in the grey flight glove at the base of im assuming a forearm…being a fighter pilot isnt all work abd no play after all.

All this talk of chicken and turkey makes me hungry…and it makes the mystery object look more and more like one…
I seriously doubt that… The Air Force keeps their expensive fighter planes as far as they can from where bad guys on the ground are and still be within range to drop bombs from up high… And there are lots of folks watching out for human war trophies a la Vietnam. Times have changed.
