hello all. i’m making my first diorama in 1/48 scale and i need help with the base material. the time and place is may/june 1943 the location is henderson field, guadalcanal. its not going to be very large (its a f4u corsair returning from a mission) so i only need to know what i should use for dirt/sand ive seen some pictures and there doesnt seem to be any marston matting (psp plates!) i have figures, 55 gallon drums and other airfield accessories (ladders, crates, and wheel chocks) is there any thing that i might be missing? its not going to be that big (slightly larger than the a/c itself) so nothing to elaborate any help will be greatly appreciated thanx! dave
