What prompted Trumpeter to change their wildcat molds?

Hi all.
I was doing some research on another site and a point was brought up.
What caused Trumpeter change/correct their Wildcat molds.
Was it a bad review?
was it complaints by customers (like with the challanger armor kit)?
Or was it distributers refusing to carry it until it was corrected?

why I ask is because I wish to know the specific events which cause a company to fix a product that is wrong.
This is a good example.

I was told by some that the review on Hyperscale.com (which is sponsered by squaron) is responsable and yet others say it was the review by the perth military modeler socity that is the reason.

However I have a hard time beleiving that 1 or 2 reviews would cause a company to remold the kit.

So I would like your opinions.
Thanks [:D].

It was a lot of bad reviews - the crew at Hyperscale went nuts over it and Trumpeter pulled the kit within a few weeks and retooled it.

The original tooling was very innaccurate. As Swanny said, Hyperscale panned it very severely. I believe Trumpeter released the kit in the Asian & European markets, but US distributors, led by MMD (Squadron), cancelled their orders & refused to import the kit. That’s when Trumpeter decided to re-tool, since they were going to lose most of the North American market.
