What part of model building do you like the least?

i HATE tiny peices … i end up either smothering them in glue because they keep felling off, or they are poorly put together … which then leads to me leaving it off unless its totally needed

I dislike any form of sanding, and also bodywork.
Lee

I would have to say puttying and sanding

For me I guess it would have to be painting. I don’t really dislike it, but it does seem to slow down at that point. That must be why they equate the phrase, “It’s like watching paint dry”, with boredom![:p] I tend to enjoy the scratchbuilding of small parts and other detail work.

I agree with Jim, that is the biggest pain. [|(]

The part I hate the most is finding out that I need to make a trip to the Hobby shop in order to finish a job. You open the jar of paint only to find that it’s hardened… at 10:30 at night… On a Friday of a holiday weekend… And I thought I was gonna finish the camo pattern tonight ! [Insert crying/whining smiley icon here]

After i finish listing the things i like least, its going to sound like i should quit modeling[:D] well i really dont like filling/sanding/clean-up, and also masking canopy frames. Also like bossman i dont go out to the hobby shop very much, so whenever i get a new model theres always something i need.

oh ya and cleaning the airbrush

Painting and detailing roadwheels and tracks. Sometimes painting camo jobs.

glueing tiny parts , painting the tiny parts and cleaning my airbrush are the things i like the least , a few days ago i would have added sanding but after picking up a tip in the tools section about using a electric toothbrush with sand paper glued to the head i can see it become one of my favorite parts , quick and easy

hmmm…like the least…that’s a hard one.
Like most folks, I guess it’d be filling and sanding difficult seams and gaps in high-detail areas. It’s nerve-wracking trying to cleanly zap the gap without also wiping out the detail.

I guess my least favorite is the finishing (weathering, detail painting etc.). I think it’s due to the fear of messing something up and it being real hard to fix at that stage without a lot of work. I actually like doing all of it, it’s just the end that skeers me. [:p] [:D]

Add another one to the little bits faction . I like to scratch build them, paint them, and admire them when their done but attaching…[V][xx(]

Preparing the model, especially when dealing with a ton of miniatures. Cleaning up the mold lines, removing the flash, sanding and filling in gaps. YAWN How boring…especially when you’re doing 10+ of the same figure.

For me it would have to be the decals. They can go on forever with all of those “no step” etc. [V]

Sanding! Thanksfully, I learned about the trick with the nail polish remover and I’ve also become pretty good at using Milliput!

And…the trick with nail polish remover is?? Or are you going to leave us wondering? [:)]
