School got really busy for me (Im graduating this May, yikes!) and I wandered off to explore new interests. But I havent stopped modeling…slowed, but not stopped! I was diagnosed with a medical issue this summer and have taken steps to help myself (and meds. Meds help!). DOnt worry folks, im doing better now!
Anywho, here are some things Ive been working on the past 6 months or so. Feel free to comment and critique.
Great looking builds but one thing, I hate to say I don’t know if you were being creative and it was on purpose but the MIG 31 does not have folding wings. Otherwise great, in fact did you do it on purpose? I noticed the engines were different too. But Im not criticizing just asking.
I Frankenstein-ed an old MiG-25 kit. I just went to town on it lengthening its fuselage, folding its wings, making new tailpipes, adding conformal fuel tanks, a weird recon shape to the nose, added additional missiles, gave it a new spine, stuck a tail-hook on it, redid the cockpit canopy…its pretty much a what-if thingy
Ah right I could not tell if it was a 25 or 31 I just saw the cockpit a bit further forward and guessed, well it looks great, I can only imagine witnessing a MIG 25 blast off a carrier good idea man!
I just saw all the other pictures, really quite aggressive looking conversion there I can imagine that alright, looks like a great job, what scale is it?
Me too, lol, there is a Flanker Frenzy GB somewhere that is going on through the year its being hosted by Dre who is on the Big Russian Jet GB which ends April 1st. Why not join one of them? I have made the SU-30MK and it’s great and the SU-27 kit looks the same so it should be great. Personally I want to do mine as one of the Top Guns at Lipetsk this scheme.
Wow impressive lot of work there. Very nice. Very nice indeed. Now, let me get this straight you did these in 6 months and go to school? For the love of pete it takes me a year to complete one! So, kudos to your ability to turn out such excellent models in such a short amount of time. And I am very glad to hear that you are much better.
