The goggles around his neck? They seem a bit redundant.
No, Gentlemen. Anyone else want to try their hand at it? It’s a little bit more absurd, and obvious when you notice it yourself at first. It’s also one of those things that you kick yourself for not noticing the first time too! I’m even MORE surprised that the film crew didn’t catch it before it aired.

The band with the silver things on it on his left anke is supposed to be right below his right knee, I think?
You mean other than the fact that he is wearing jack Boots instead of the usual flight boots he wore in A New Hope. or the fact that he has his hands in his pocket?
The webbing that goes from the belt down around the legs is missing.
We have a winner! Actually the last three of you beneath my last post are correct! Each of these elements is missing from Lukes uniform. The most obvious being the control rods for the weapons pod missing from his arm pocket, and the laser rounds on his leg FALLEN down to his foot. That should’ve been a dead give away! The harness that straps the pilot in the X-wing being another real obvious one. I just don’t know how it could’ve been missed by everyone including the editors of the show. I guess that they were only trying to get as much as they could relistically without using everything from the movie for the sake of time. Good call on those boots - I had to look twice when I first saw this photo. All these things left me wondering to the point where I felt I had to share this with everyone since these details are so critical for accuracy. Thank you all for playing.

I know Im late to this party, but this pic IS a mess.
the things that ARE right:
Flak vest is correctly worn for ANH. They are flipped for ESB and ROTJ.
Commpad is at least present on his left wrist but I cant tell if its upside down or not.
I see at least one Arm Tool/ Code Cylinder on his left upper arm
Suit has the correct pocket layout. Its possible it was his suit in the previous movies. One was sold at auction and its widely documented.
Whats wrong :
ERB’s instead of Jacks. This particular type of ERB with the slanted/ cupped top is worn by Imperial Officers
Hose points to the right isntead of left
No Ejection harness
Flares are around his ankle (they often fall down and we have supports to hold them up)
Goggles (GOGGLES???)
His belt is backwards meaning he was likely dressed from behind and the costume dresser had no clue. Rollerbuckle always goes to the front.
this one crops up in the Rebel Legion forums now and then, with people asking about it. Im a Rebel Legion costume judge so all the small details just stand out. Just like the show, its a mess.
You are correct! All these tiny details are either present or missing entirely, and wrong in the picture as you already know; and it must have been done in quite a hurry since so much was overlooked. Was IS there is wrong, or haphazardly done, and in such a hurried way.

You know, it seems like this was one of those “behind the scenes” shots and if so, he may have been in the middle of getting set up and as such, not all the parts were added yet. If you look though, R2D2 has some kind of wire running between the two “legs” That’s wrong
