Just a quick question for the crowd what would be the FS colour for the British Warriors MCV in Iraq is the same as the US Bradleys? any help from the crowd would be great.
Not FS colors. The British Army uses BSC colors. I think the color code is BSC261 for the shade of Stone used. Modle Master and XtraColor make the correct shade.
I believe the color is called Middle Stone, or something like that. It is more yellow than US Sand as used on Bradleys. I used US Sand (FS 33531) and mixed in some yellow to do a Warrior for a customer. It matched pictures of the vehicle he commanded in OIF 1 pretty well. You can see it here, along with a couple pics of the actual vehicle.
the paint is called british gulf lt stone #2137…Digger
It’s called Light Stone BS361, and is available in both the Xtracolor (X813) and Xtracrylix (XA813) ranges. It’s also available in the White Ensign Colourcoats range as Light Stone AR B 01.
Note that there is a British WW2 armour camo colour Light Stone BS381C 61. The two are not the same. The WW2 colour is available in the White Ensign range as colour AR B 11, and in the Xtracolor range as X821.
Cheers,
Chris.
