The Tamiya pigment is too big, and I’m having trouble using Vallejo (my preference). I don’ thave access to Model Air.
I used the Vallejo with their thinner, and I just didn’t seem to get an opaque enough finish.

I had just gotten to the point of always recommending that paint to people, and then, he pulled the plug, boy, do I have great timing or what?
Unless or until he sells the paint lines,I am going back to dealing with Floquil PolyScale Railroad colors for my Acrylic metallics
the Floquil PS was my original plan until I tried a bottle of the Talon,but, I hope some other Acrylic painters have suggestions or comparisons to share in this thread,I am “back in the hunt” for advice on this

I have been using games workshop paints, citadel paints, significantly thinned with windex to the proper consistancy and it is great.
I like Gunze’s Mr Metal Color range, but these are an acrylic which use a lacquer-thinner based reducer. They can also be quite difficult to get hold of.
They’re a buffable type, which come up brilliantly when polished with a soft cloth after drying.
