What is currently on your workbench?

I would imagine that the 1/32 scale can get a sight big, but the 1/144 scale 262 ? If it is the night fighter version I did one of those in 1/72 and that was small. You seem to work at extreme ends!?

Revell 1/48 F-84E (NMF GB) construction 70%

And a few others I work at time to time…

I know where you are coming from on the house for sale stuff. I just sold and moved last year and was out of the model building business for 6 months! Had a job in one state and house in another, kind of hard to build models then.

& a 70’s era Colonial viper with scratch-built interior complete -needing exterior work- no photo uploaded yet.

Completion awaiting warmer weather priority work on display case, paint booth & other work as well as 1/32 CF-104…

The weather is the main reason I have some many in progress right now. It has been to cold in the garage (my spray booth) to paint. I don’t paint when it is colder than 55F in the garage. And Louisiana just happened to have the coldest winter in 30 years this year… go figure…

Typically I like to stick to one build, or at the least one build of a each genre I like to work in. I tried doing a number of builds at once and frankly it killed me. No progress was really being made and it was discouragin, thus I went to a minimum of kits on the bench. So as of right now I have the 1/72 Italeri A6E in progress, and as for armor a 1/35 Tamiya Cromwell that is currently on hold while I await a few accessories I ordered, found was out of stock, and had to go looking for in another place (long story [8-)] ).

I am also waiting for a few more odds and ends to come in for a 1/350 Tamiya Fletcher super detail build, but that one I am intending to be a long slow build to be worked on inbetween the armor and aircraft builds.

Yes, it sure can!

And yes… the 262 I am building now is a B-1a night fighter. With photo etch antennas in 1/144- YIKES! I built a 1/144 ME-262A-1a last year just to see if I could do it, and I liked it so much I bought another one. Sure is interesting working on the same plane in 1/32 and 1/144 at the same time, hope I don’t get any parts mixed up LOL.

You can see pics of mine at my website, here is a link to the 262 page…

It has even brought in 3 awards for me to date!

Daywalker I would be more worried about the 1/144 262 gettin lost inside the 1/32 [proplr]

On the bench

1/48 Monogram Me 262a 1A 70% complete waiting for paint for 262 GB

1/48 Revell P-51D Air Racer Miss America for Air Racers GB

1/48 ICM MiG-3 just started engine assembly 3% complete for Soviet GB

On Deck

1/48 Monogram TBM Avenger

1/48 Tamiya P-51B got lucky getting this one

1/48 Hawk Gee Bee R1

I have the Accurate Miniatures 1/72 Predator and the Academy 1/48 F-22 Raptor, both are almost ready for paint.

Thanks, Jim

LOL! What’s that rattle inside? [:D]

What do I have here…

1/48 Eduard Bf-108 Taifun

1/48 Smer Supermarine Walrus

1/48 Modela LF-107 Lunak

1/48 Classic Airframes ICR. 42

1/48 Mongram T-6 Texan - on the bench well over 3 years now

1/48 AMT P-40N Warhawk - on the bench about 3 years now

1/48 Tamiya F4U-1/2 Corsair - on the bench about 1 year now

I need to get crackin’!!! [:D]

Looking forward to seeing this one Mike. I’ve got one in the pile and would love to see how the beast builds up. [Y]

Way too many, but I’ll try to list them…

I’ll stick with what’s actually, physically on the bench itself, in the form of at least one sub-assembly. The others are started but on various storage shelves ( Hangar 18) rather than the bench…

1/48th

1: Two Monogram P-47Ds (They’re a Before/After diorama project. One in England, 1944 & operational, the other is the same aircraft in 1946 or 47, after it gets shipped to the Mojave desert and is undergoing salvage…

2: One Pro Modeler P-40E, after capture by the Japanese

3: Three Revell/Monogram T-6s – One a “Ralston Trainer” (this is a rebuild), one Korean War AT-6 “Mosquito” FAC bird, and “my” Reno Racer, “# 59-The Hammer of Hell”…

4: Monogram F-80 undergoing conversion to T-33.

5: Monogram USMC PB-1H. Converting from USAAF B-25H

6: Monogram B-29. Adding fiber-optics to IPs and flight engineer’s panel.

7: Monogram B-17G Flight deck

There’s also about 15 in Hangar 18 ranging in size from a Monogram 1/72 Fokker Dr1 to a Revell 1/32 Beaufighter. That’s just the aircraft. I have about 10 armored & tactical vehicle projects going on as well, and over two dozen figure conversions in both 1/48th and 1/35th scale. Everything is destined for a diorama, construction of which is on the OTHER bench…
