What do you want to see in 48th scale?

The $100.00 question arises. What are you folks looking for in 1/48 accessories? Figures, small bits, conversions, ruins, structures, other accessories.? Armor or Aircraft subjects, post it here!

I’d love to see more seated pilots. Navy, Air Force, Marine, German, Japanese, you name it. WWII, of course. Plus an affordable Jeep!

I agree with RadMax8 There really isnt that many seated pilots at all. Other than that all the small extras like tools and small equipment would be nice to.

By the way, Welcome to the Forum

Trevor M

Definately agree with the others, more seated pilots and crews. All nations, all eras. Also would like to see some NEW F-105s and F-104s

How about some support vehicles like fuelers etc? I like what the others have said as well, more pilot options. WWII, Cold War and Post Cold War as well…

I’d give my left N_t to see a 1/48 P-38 by Tamiya.

An AC-130H! [(-D]

I’d like some support vehicles as well, preferably in plastic vice resin. Both WWII and modern bomb carts and loaders, tow tugs and all the other things you’d see both on the flightline as well as on a carrier’s deck would be nice. They’d make for some really nice additions for diorama/display possibilities.

As long as we’re wishing, I’d like to see some more weapons sets, extra bombs, rockets and missiles for all eras of aircraft, maybe even sets of Hellfires and the like for 1/48 helos?

Seatbelts, seatbelts, oh, and seatbelts. Did I mention seatbelts? Forget 1/48, anyscale! Seriously, it’s such a hassle, and whilst it keeps Messers Eduard, Airwaves, etal busy, I would rather pay a wee bit more, and some some photoetch included.

As for an aircraft for 1/48? A Lavi.

support vehicles non resin type

and maybe a yak-6

B17, a good one, come on Accurate, come on Tamiya. Lets have one.

Seated pilots and aircrew from all eras and nationalities, including civilian!

Model aircraft represent things that fly. It’s fine if you want your aircraft partially disassembled, with every panel open, but to me, that looks like a scrapyard about to happen—or it should be in a hanger.

I prefer model aircraft looking like they are doing what aircraft do—fly. That means I need pilots and aircrew. As of now, I have to scrounge, make molds, cast, and scratchbuild—expensive PITA/K/Back. I’d rather be building.

How about an SM S55.X flying boat.

nah i don’t fly ( i am afraid of heights)

and i don’t get into boats ( cause i don’t swim)[:o)]

I agree about the Jeep, 1/48 scale badly needs an affordable, plastic version. Now, about my wish list…I would love to see some support halftracks, and some armoured cars (both US and German) and maybe a control tower for a diorama (could be British or German). As someone stated in a previous thread, if AFV would scale their stuff down to 1/48, there would be a lot of interested folks.

A big B-32 Dominator to go along with my other big bombers would be great.

More civilian A/C, like a well done c206 or dhc2, civ figures too. And a P2V!

I’d love some more figures from the WWII era, pilots and groundcrews. Also, how about a bunch of new tool PR Spitfires? Darren.

I would really like to see some affordable ground crew and pilot figures and accessories, such as vehicles, a realistic bomb cart (not the monogram b-17 one), etc. I would also like to see some pacifc theater navy and marine pilot figures, since that’s the majority of my collection.

A-1E Shyraider by Tamiya, Soft skinned vehicles and diorama accessories all in plastic. P2V Neptune, E2c Hawkeye, S2e Tracker ,E1 Tracer and some civilian aircraft also in plastic.
