Turn off your “caps lock” button first.
For the gun metal use any metallic paint. For the wood, paint a brown basecoat then use some burnt umber or similar oil paint to paint on then rub off .
To enhance the metal, use a pencil, either ground down and brushed on or drawn on directly and smoothed with a finger.
Hope this helps
To make a real gun metal I use mm steel and mm flat black.I paint the flat black first and while it is still wet I use the steel and work it in good.It come out great. As for the wood I use a mm brown and mm rust.I repeat the same process as before as I did the gun metal. Now for the rest go with a olive drab and that is all there is to it.Digger

I like to use a dark gun metal color ( perhaps add some black), add a black wash, then high light with graphite. On modern weapons , I.E. the M -16 , M -60 , MG- 3 , I like to use flat black , or a very dark grey , and high light , with graphite.

Also , for the wooden parts , a reddish brown , seems to work well. As for weapons, with non wooden stocks , and fore stocks , like the M-16, I use flat black , and give it a slight sheen with my finger.
