I live approx. 2 -3 miles from Wittman Field in Oshkosh, WI and their E.A.A. Fly-In starts on Monday. I’ve been out on my patio watching the small civil aircraft flying over. Can’t wait until the Warbirds fly over! Nothing like the sound of either a Merlin or a Pratt-Whitney engine!
There’s a lovely J-3 Cub that joyrides over our area almost every morning that I enjoy watching with my coffee on the patio. Later this morning I heard the unmistakable sound of a T-6 and finally spotted him (or her) to the west.
A couple weeks ago I heard a very strange sound and finally spotted a pair of Ospreys.
