What color to paint the Admiral Ushakov deck

Hello

I am starting to build a 1/700 ex Kirov now Admiral Ushakov. I would like to know what Tamiya paint that would match the color used on the front of the box?

another question I have is what color should I use below the waterline? Is it just red or is it something else.

I’ve seen both dark green and dark red for the bottom, and even green for the canted area of the flight deck, with dark gray for the rest. A lot depends on what era you’re researching, though I don’t think it sailed very consistently towards the beginning of its career due to mechanical and funding problems.

I was wondering. I want to paint the Kirov battlecruiser deck the same color as this photo in the link below

Could I get this color by mixing Red and Black together? If yes what would you suggest for Ratios of black and red?

I could also use the Tamiya paint Hull Red XF-9 but it wouldn’t look like the one in the photos onling.

Not Tamiya colors, and not acrylics, but for out of the tin solutions go to White Ensign Models: http://www.whiteensignmodels.com/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Modern_Naval_Colours_49.html and check out the modern Russian naval colors.

Hello

I am building Russian Sovremenny. I am using White Ensign colours. Lower hull - M 06 Anti fouling red, upper hull & super structure - M 20 Russian Baltic Fleet Grey, Deck - M 13 Russian Deck Red and M 04 Deck Grey and the strip dividing lower/upper hull - C 03 Matt White.

If you want to move your ship to the Russian Northern Fleet use - M 11 Russian Northern Fleet Grey instead of Russian Baltic Fleet Grey.
