What aribrushes do you have?

I have all Badger: a 150 with a .7 needle, A krome with a .22 and a sotar with a .22

I tries Harder and steenbeck but had spitting and cloging with them. I lie Iwata but do not like the threaded nozzles. That is a problem waiting to happen for me.

One,Iwata HP-CS

2, both badgers. A 100 with a fine head and a 150 with the medium. I use the 150 most of the time.

Two. Iwata Eclipse HP-CS and H&S Evolution Silverline 2 in 1.

Although I like everything about the H&S better, including how it feels in my hand, easy no-tool strip down, super-smooth trigger, I still tend to reach for the Iwata usually.

I guess it’s because I keep a .5mm needle nozzle it in, I seldom find a need for the .4 of the H&S, let alone the .2. Plus I feel I can strip and clean the Iwata darn near blindfolded, I’ve done it so many times. Having typed that, it seems there really is no rational reason I use the Iwata more.

Too many. I always fall back to my Paasche H. The workhorse.

2 that I always use. A Badger 150 and a Badger 200. The 200 is a gravity feed and it gets the most use. The 150 gets used for larger area jobs. I usually have medium needles in both of them. I have a spare 150 and another 200 detail brush but I’ve never made friends with it.

I have 4 , 2 I use . an iwata HP-C plus my main one ,a beautiful brush . an iwata neo I use for priming .

greg , I have a H&S evolution , can’t use it , spit’s everywhere , which is unfortunate , cause when I get it going , it’s a nice brush . for giggles , I saw a good review on the bartsharp airbrush’s , haven’t used it yet .

One currently. A Badger 105.

I don’t use an a/b too often as I’m out of aircraft and into ships.

Iwata Eclipse HC-CS, NEO, NEO Trigger Gravity Feed AB, and a Chinese made suction feed AB.

3, an Iwata RG-3 for priming big stuff, a Badger Sotar for little stuff and a Badger Patriot 105 for everything else.

Hi;

Although I don’t use them much now I have these. A sixty year old year old De-Vilbis touch -up Auto Brush. a Fifty five year old Binks Wren. Two Paasche pro series Striping brushes and two Paasche Hobby Brushes.

Yes, they are old But, They still work well. Why? I have always done what PaPa tought me . Take of the Tools that earned me a living! I don’t have a picture, but, I also have a very old professional Air-Pro Sign painters unit. It still works, But it’s so rare I don’t use it much at all. Besides I cannot get replacement parts for it anymore.

And being as it is an antique I will not mix and match parts to keep it running. My compressors have always been either W.R.Brown or De-Vilbis. Again, for sheer dependability and steadfast running ability. I had a Badger unit and burned it out painting Volkswagens.

Oh, I’m sorry I forgot to mention My old Badger double action. I got it as a gift in the nice clear and red plastic case. Still use it and still put it in the case when clean and finished . I also use a very old, brand unknown, 35lb auto detail paint unit. It uses De-vilbis generic parts and such. It is about a fifty year old unit too. That one has so much overspray on it I would be afraid to try and clean it all off. It might fall apart !LOL.LOL.

Tanker-Builder says. Take care of your tools and they’ll take care of you. I know, an old saying, But I just had to throw it in there. Happy Painting …Tanker-Builder

Gravity feed double action Iwata something or another. It’s a fine airbrush and works flawlessly. But the user sucks (that’s me).

Siphon feed single action Badger 200, which is my workhorse AB for 38 years so far.

Hate to hear you’re having trouble with it, Steve. As you said, it is such a nice airbrush.

[:S]

Like several posters above I have both a Badger 100 and a 150- that is a SA and a DA. My normal brushing is with the SA because it is easier to clean. I use the double action for camouflage and for color modulation and light stains.

I often have trouble with the latter, though, getting the fore and aft spring back in the exact right place after cleaning.

I have a Patriot 105 and a Sotar 20/20. The Patriot has a medium tip and gets the most use. The 20/20 has a very fine tip for close-up fine work but it doesn’t come out very often.

Only own one airbrush a Badger 150.

I have 6. Two Badger 175s, two 350s, a Binks Wren and an Iwata gravity feed knockoff.

I generally use the 175 because it fits my rather large hands better than the pencil like bodies of most airbrushes. I also like the fact that the parts are large and I find easier to clean. I have however relegated one of the 350s to clearcoats only so I suppose it get used quite a bit as well.

I use an Iwata right now. I still have a Badger 150 but don’t use it often, but I still love it. I also have an Aztec, it did good work for me.

I’ve had one for over twenty years that I’ve never used. I think it’s a Badger, but no clue what model. Maybe one of these days I’ll dig it out of the “pile” and actually play with it.
