I am using acrylic paint and approx 20 lps pressure and am getting abead like coating on the surface I am painting. Is the paint not thinned enough or pressure too much or?
Is the bead…a bead of paint from blast hitting model? Any chance you are too close or throwing too much paint for that distance?
dunno, trying to help…not an experienced airbrusher
Too much paint or too thick…
Back up or move faster.
Your best bet is to back up… .do several thin coats.
Thanks Gang I think I was doing both, too close and paint to thick. Will try again
HEY,
This may not help much but are you using a primer? If not, do it. I f you do sorry i couldn’t help.
This may seem simple but, did you clean your model with soap and water before painting? sometimes the oils from your fingers will build up on the surface and the paint will not stick. Also the mold release agents on resin cause this.
If your paint is too thick then you should see a pebble looking finish on the model almost like there was sand in the paint.
Is that what you are describing?
