I’m saving to buy a dual action air brush and have done some research but would like to know what brand and model you experienced modelers recommend?
My type of models are, mostly, WWII aircraft with complex pain schemes and fine lines.
Since I’m saving to buy a high quality airbrush let’s assume price isn’t a concern.

I would recomend the Badger Crescendo. It is a nice heavy duty double action. If you buy the complete kit, it comes with 3 needles and tips, 1 large jar 1 small jar, a small color cup. You can get it at Michaels. When I bought mine a few years ago, they ran $110 fir the kit. Michaels usually runs ads in the Sun. paper, with a coupon for 40 % off. Good luck.

I agree with midnightprowler on the Crescendo. I paid 60.00 for it and for the price it is worth every penny. I have 2 other higher end airbrushes that work very well for detail stuff, but the Crescendo does most of the work.

My vote goes to the Iwata Eclipse. It’s more expensive than other brushes but, for a dual-action, it’s very comfortable to use. I took a pal’s Eclipse for a test drive and I must say that it was the easist dual-action to initially get on and spray.
It’s user and cleaning-friendly. There are no teflon bearings buried inside the brush and breakdown for cleaning is as simple if not more so than other brushes. It’s also more durable than my Botchers. The needle is much more robust and less susceptible to damage.
Lastly, it performs like a dream. I have done things with this Iwata that I couln’t have dreamt of with a Botcher, and certainly not with a Pasche.
