What a FineScale mess

On Friday (Mar 5th) Jim, a buddy of mine, came to me at work and asked if I would bring the March copy of FineScale Modeler to the club meeting. He wanted to read an article that was refrenced in this months article about masking canopies. When I asked him where’s his copy he didn’t remember getting one.
When I get home I go looking for mine. I can’t fine it. Now I’m doubting that I got one. I covet all mine so it’s not something that I misplace.
I goto the club meeting and tell Jim that I did get one either. Now the Question is raised around the club members who got theirs? So John, who’s house the club is held at, goes looking for his and comes back empty handed. Another member says not to long ago he got one all ripped up and that when he got home would check if it was the March issue. Today I get a E-mail that his ripped issue was March.
Not to long ago I remember reading that one of the forum members didn’t get a March issue either. I though I would tell my story to you all so that everyone might check and see that they got theirs.

I know on Monday there will be at least three call to customer service asking for new copies of the March issue.

I have been fortunate in getting all my magazines on time. Only one in 8 years has been delivered torn due to (mis)handling.

Regards, Dan

I got mine and it was in good shape. Sounds like I was lucky.

Interesting. I’ve never had a problem with any of mine and I’ve been getting them off and on since the late 1980’s. My March one arrived weeks ago and I’ve had the April issue since late February- oh and I’m in New Zealand!

Thanks for the replies.
I’m guessing that the postmen in my area must have liked that issue.[(-D]

Hi there. It was me who posted something here about missing my March subscription issue. Hey! Is it just a coincidence or what? Those who didn’t get their March issue in the mail are from NJ. Hmmmm…[V]

Magazines destined for the same postal zone are sent in bundles to regional distribution centers (maybe even specific post offices if there are a lot going to one zip code). If a bunch of subscribers in the same area didn’t get their March issue, my bet is that one of the bundles went astray. If you don’t receive your issue–or it arrives all mangled up–contact Kalmbach customer service by all means at 800-533-6644.

The other possibility is that the USPS has a vendetta against New Jersey…[:0] [;)]

If so, Tony’s gonna send Paulie Walnuts over to have a “talk” with them. [:0][xx(][B)][banghead]

hmm, tough break. I’ve only been subscribing for a short time, but I"ve had no problems with my mags, only a few ‘late’ arrivals. I saw the March issue at my LHS, and two days thereafter I received mine.

Got mine.

No, not just NJ (but across the Hudson and East river as well). I finally got mine on the 8th of this month and I have to say it was in good shape. I also know that the BArnes and Noble in my area had it on thier Newstand atleast a week and a half before I got mine - same zip code, but different distribution methods.

Also note that I haven’t recieved my squadron mailer as of yet. Tthat don’t mean much to FSM, but is a part of the delivery equation.

Sorry to hear of your problems. None with mine (knock on wood).

I heard about that hurricane that hit New Jersey and caused $100,000,000.00

in improvments.

Tell them to get in line with everybody else.

I real think that one of the postmen got their model in the Readers Gallery and he need a few extra copies[:p]

I called on Monday (8th) and got my new copy on Saturday[:)]

I got mine a few days ago all mangled…it was readable…so it has to be a NJ thing.

Hey IROC, another smart comment like that and we’re gonna strip your name from you…after all, the IROC is the official car of NJ…

Yous gots a problem wit dat??
