And a good kit.

Banner Arizona,
Tamiya Fletcher
Tamiya Missouri
Trumpeter Hornet
Trumpeter Essex
Trumpeter Lexington (due early next year?)
What else?

Hi, James!
Tamiya also offers:
Yamato
Musashi
Bismark
Tirpitz
New Jersey (modern)
King George V
Prince of Wales
I suppose these are good kits!
There’s also a Tamiya USS Enterprise.
Hi!
Yes I am aware of those. Am looking for US ships.
James [:)]
USS Enterprise is post WWII.
James [:)]
Ah, sorry, I thought the Enterprise was a WWII ship that was just refitted after WWII.
Whoops!
Had I only read more closely…
Sorry, James!
No problem. You helped me get to 100 posts. LOL!
James [:)]
Here’s a web site on the Enterprise.
technically, the version that Tamiya has is 1944+ refit, but there were 4 other versions prior to the 1944 refit unless I missed a refit or two…
Tamiya 's Enterprise is CVN-65. Was only built in 1960.
The WWII Enterprise CV-6 was decommissioned in 1947.
James [:)]
I think you are referring to the 1/700th scale one. They did a WWII Hornet in that scale too.
James [:)]
Thanks for the info. Didn’t realize that. I thought it was a refit.
If you’re interested,
there are also these available in Styrene

and the U.S.S. Wisconsin BB-64 1:350 by Modelcraft.
I do most of my shopping online at megahobby.com and found these. Don’t know if these kits are as well made as the Tamiya. Perhaps some others here will know.
Trumpeter Hornet
Trumpeter Essex
Trumpeter Yorktown II
Trumpeter Franklin
Trumpeter/Banner USS Arizona
Tamiya Missouri
Tamiya Fletcher
Modelcraft Wisconsin
Revell Missouri
Rumored/Annouced/Speculated:
Trumpeter Lexington CV-2
Trumpeter Saratoga CV-3
Trumpeter Indianapolis
Trumpeter Liberty Ship
There’s also a few that I can’t ahem mention that I KNOW are coming…being involved in the process sometimes requires taking a vow of secrecy, or…non disclosure agreements.

Jeff, what is the quality of the Modelcraft Wisconsin?
Does the kit contain all the different guns that she had from what Missouri had?
Thanks,
James [:)]
Jeff,
can you tell us at least what class of ships are coming, even if not their names? I’m just dieing for a USS Texas myself.
I am not sure the Modelcraft Wisconsin is WWII configuration. I think it is Desert Storm time period.
James [:)]
I can’t tell you!!!
But…I can say that Texas isn’t one of them, sorry.
These new subjects will move off the shelves a littler ‘faster’ than the olde Texas did. If I told you, I’d get deported to the BADLANDS, for sure. Either that, or I’d end up on the dead end of the stick, kinda like Col. George Singletary at the Battle of Trantor’s Creek in 1862!!
Sorry, wish I could tell ya!!
Jeff
Did you say 1/3…5…0…th scale Indianaplois? Trumpeter must have read my other post. [:p][:D]
