Okay here is the dilemma i am having here. I always trim, use a seam scraper and repair where is needed and i always sand my models an rid of the seam joints should i wet sand or not. I mean i never used wet sanding is there a big difference between them can someone help me with this when i should wet sand and what is the benefit of the wet sanding technique?
Sanding wet (with the appropriate papers) keeps the sandpaper from loading up with sanding dust, so the paper last longer. It lubricates the work so that the paper cuts better, and keeps the sanding dust from obscuring what you are sanding. I use it on the final seam sanding, and when I am using papers in the 1000 to 2400 grit range. You don’t have to do it ever, but I think you would be pleased with the results if you tried it.

i am using tamiya sanding paper from 400 to 2400 grit.
If the word “Tamiya” is in front of the word sandpaper I am guessing that equates to expensive. Get a pack of 400 grit wet/dry paper form Home Depot. For seams and general stuff 400 is really all you need. Higher than that and you’re starting to get into polishing.
