I want to do my Zvezda Fokker tri-motor in Western Air Express logo. I also have a Lockheed Vega on my shelf and found a poster of one in WAE markings. Has anyone ever done a decal sheet of the WAE logo?

I don’t mind doing my own decals, but need a good view of the logo. I have done an exhaustive image search on google and found only small images. I may be able to do something with them, but it sure would be nice to work with something larger.

The markings/logo I want to use had all red fuselage, with an indian head and words Western Air Express in white.

Is this the one? It’s the best I could find.

Not quite. The one I have seen is shorter headdress, indian face and head-dress is all in white (fuselage is red). Head is in center of an arrow, and words are written below arrow shaft. But I may be able to shorten feathers and use that one, change colors (reverse them).

I’ve seen that, but only in posters. I haven’t been able to find any that you describe as images of logos.

Thanks to several folks who sent logos and discussion. None of the logos are right color, font, and shape of the indian head, but close, so I am working to change the art on the closest.

What surprised me are the number of different logos. The airline was not in existance all that long, yet it apparently changed the logo often.

Thanks to modern digital photo editing software, it is not that hard to change color and minor changes in art. And, I can delete the words and retype with one of the many fonts my photo editor provides. I’ll post a copy somewhere, when I get it done.
