Howdy, chris !
glad to hear that the harvest is finally over and that ur back… so, what’s ur next modeling project ?
i am just about finished with my first 1/35 kit, the tamiya walker bulldog…
it kind of felt like cheating doing something that big ! [:D]
now if i can just find some time to work on my 1/72 Panther G…[sigh]

Thanks frosty, I am currently repainting my Tamiya sdkfz 251/1, and helping my little bro with his bandai m30 cargo carrier. then if my photoetch comes quickly, I’ll be working on my Tamiya SAS Pink Panther, and if it doesn’t come in, I’ll work on my Dragon USMC M1a1. but sometime this winter I’m going to have to slip over to flak targets aircraft and build an Me-262 and a gloster meteor. (school report on jet engines)
heres some links that should help you on your school report Chris
the links are of Sir Frank Whittle the pioneer of the Jet engine, who lived just down the road from me in Coventry

Chris nice to see your back doing something fun! Looks like you have to make up for lost time.
Frosty, are you in the Panther build? There is a two month window. I feel it may help me finish a project. [:)]

Nice to hear from you again Chris. Hope to see more of your works soon.
Welcome back again.
Tige:
if i can do a 1/72 or 1/76 Panther, most definitely !
if i have to go 1/35, i’ll have to scrounge up some funds first, so maybe not…
BTW, i didn’t get a 1/1 car for my birthday… altho’ i was totally delighted with what i did get, a nice lancer evo Viii or wrx sti in the driveway would have been so cool ! but i can dream… and save … and one day, who knows ?

sounds like u have ur hands full !
it’s good of u to be helping ur little bro, mine likes to “destroy stuff” (his own words) but i actually got him to put together a few snaptite kits and most recently
an armourfast sherman M4…and we had a lot of fun doing it !
good luck with the Me-262 and meteor (2 very cool planes), and the report !

chris:
i just heard about this yesterday and thought u might b interested if u didn’t know about it already. there’s a site www.stormbirds.com which is supposed 2 b a “…confederation of luftwaffe-related sites that in the main cover everything to do with the remarkable Messerschmitt 262…”
u probably already know about it, but if not, it might help with ur report !
Here’s the info & hopefully the link for the stormbirds site…
good luck !
