I think this is the right place to post this, Any how while working on Monograms B-26 I realized that it was going to be back heavy so some weight was needed to make it sit on the wheels. I thought about doing probably the most common thing out there, add fishing sinkers or something along that line in a place that wouldnt be seen.
Well theres windows in every section of this plane and the bomb bays are open. While discussing it with my dad and brother, my dad came up with an idea. He has a roll of 1/32" lead that can be cut with an knife or scissors. I decided to use it to cut walls out of it and glue it to the interior of the plane and after painting it would look just like the walls would normally. the windows are easily cut out as well.
In some planes it might not be enough weight but I dont see why it cant be applied this way in other areas too, its so thin its easily bent into other shapes and can be cut into what you want to cover I can have pics up tonight or tmw if anyone would like them.
