After reading that and having a sleepless night last night (too many cookies I think [:I]) I wnet rooting through the stash and came up with the perfect kit for this GB. Sean may recognize it as it spent some time in his stash as well [;)] Thanks again Sean! [tup]
Very simple kit. No cockpit, no engine and a simple green over Grey paint job! Piece of cake… (famous last words) Painting the figure might be the only hold up.
As for the Date of this build I am just going to go ahead and pic one as there has not been a lot of input to date and we may have some people siting on the fence until the date is set so lets pick November 14-15 as that is the best date for me. My job should be done for the season by then and it’s my birthday that weekend too so the family might be a bit more understanding of my self indulgence! [:D] I’m still open to changing it if it doesn’t work for the majority so speak up if there is a problem.
Blast [oX)] there are No Surprises with this crew. I thought I would build this to keep with the “Polish” theme from the last one. Its like Dave is a mindreader also besides being a Modeling Master Air Brush Whizzzz…
So now that the secret has been hinted at my build will be a --------
P.Z.L P11c
1/72 kit by Heller…
Closest thing to a “Gull Wing” I will build… Sorry Frank - nah not really [;)]
Needs a figgie, methinks. I’ll call him Little Naminski. Let’s make this one a classic.
Does anyone know what ejection seat the Skyshark had? I can’t find the info.
Edit: It’s the “Yankee Extraction System” if it’s the same as the Skyraider, which I believe would be the case. Need one of those puppies in 1/72. Anyone find me a linkie?
Alex, figures are certainly acceptable. What scale are the figures? Welcome to the GB.
Frank, glad you could join us. Let us know which spinner you’ll be doing. [:-^][;)]
Bondo, I’m not very good with anything past WWII so I’m not sure where to start hunting for something like that. I usually just do a search on Squadron’s or Great Model’s site to see what is available.
Count me in for this one (I accept your 24 hr challenge).
I have a Tamiya 1/48 Tiger I, hanging around that I have been wondering what to do with. This looks like the perfect opportunity to put it to good use.
However I do have an appointment on Sunday Afternoon, so will have to commence on Friday (hopefully at 10:00 am), and finish by Sunday Morning
Welcome aboard Brett! [:)] Good to have some armor in the lineup. (Uh… and you do realize this is a 48 hour build and not 24 right?) The Friday morning to Sunday morning timeframe is fine with me. [tup]
