Little note - I know 99% of you probably aren’t this dumb, so it doesn’t apply to you. BUT if you are as stupid as me, listen up!
DON’T use Tamiya acrylic thinner to thin the paint for a wash - it eats through the Future and puts you back a whole day on the airplane you REALLY want to finish this week.
Good warning, md. I’m sure sooner or later I’m gonna slip up and I’m gonna do something as crazy – or worse – as that [:D]. Anyway, didn’t find your case in the following link, but I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us:
Another note,
I have just used future for the first time on a canopy and made a little mistake. I gave the canopy a coat of future first and then masked and painted. I did a beautiful job of painting the frames with gunze acrylics[^]. It lokked pretty good.
There were a few marks in the canopy and I thought another dip in future would fix them right up. Well it did a great job of fixing up the marks but it made the paint run and now I have big streaks of paint right down my previously clear canopy.[banghead]
