does anyone know how to weather Tires for an Sd Kfz 234/1 operating on the Eastern Front? Its an old Italeri kit that I am weathering. Thanks!
Paint them grayish-black, and then give them a wash of light brown oil. Mix up some pigments or pastels, make a paste of water or thinner, and spread it over the wheels. When it’s dry, take a stiff brush and brush most of it off.
Search for one of “wbill76”'s builds and you should be able to find a similar vehicle and the weathering technique in that blog.
