For those who may be abit afraid of jumping into color modulation or unsure how the effect will look under subsequent weathering…
Here are few pics. of a Panther that has been base coated in this way and only weathered on the Glacis plate.
You can see how the base color has been toned down by a little weathering. The extreme color shift is toned down and leaves an interesting finish. I hope you guys like the effect.
More tutorial, please. I’m feeling my way through this technique via trial and error. I don’t want my vehicles too grundged out, but I don’t want them looking too pristine either.

Color modulation is kind of the sexy weathering du jour. It’s extremely effective when done properly. I like it, but haven’t attempted it yet.

Lain that looks wicked[Y] , I done a tiger 11 last year using that tech and i loved the results.[:P] MORE
Agreed with the calls for more tutorial. Also, the unweathered Panther looks like a primitive CG model…crazy!
