Definitely an Su-37 flounder or a MiG 25 at Mach three… Or maybe a P-47 Thunderbolt…
Cheers,

Like Bubbamoosecat, I have had a ride in a B-17…awesome, and would have loved to pilot it! As in the fighter category…the choices are too many. I am a big P-51 fan, P-47, P-38, fw-190, bf-109. I also like the C-47 in the multi-engined class, P-61, Mosquito…better stop there or this post could go on and on and…[:D]

I would love to fly anything![:p] Closest I got was a Piper Cherokee for my 13th birthday and the pilot let me take the controls (in the air), kinda made my mom nervous because she was in the back seat. to answer the question though, P-38.[:D]
An F-105D Thunderchief with the ThunderstickII/LORAN upgrade! And, an A-6E Intruder, and maybe an Su-27 Flanker, just so I could experience vectored thrust!
I like the Me 163. A…kicking action for a few seconds when you thunder in the sky, and then the thrill to finding a landingzone as a glider without getting exploded with rest fuel on bord. huuuaah[}:)]
If I only had the controls for an hour, then I’d go for either a B-17G or a B-24J. But if I had one I could just fly around whenever I wanted then I would have to have a F4U or a Razorback Jug.
Now you’re Talking!!! I would give anything to fly in a THUD!!
F-15D!!! Two words: VERTICAL ACCELERATION!!!
YF-23 - the hottest plane that should have been. but would like to own a PT-17 or WACO - at least in realm of possibility.
For the -51 fans, go to www.stallion51.com. They have a 2-seat P(F)-51 with dual controls, located in Florida. They offer several levels of flight from “rides” to checkout for those with time in high performance aircraft. price is not cheap. I think it is close to $2000 for the basic orientation level, but how much do some spend on models and supplies? I’d bet you all would remember a P-51 ride longer than building any model! And where and when else will most non-millionaires ever get to fly in a P-51?
Also check out the Collings Foundation. They have 2 WW2 flying aircraft that they offer rides - a B-17G and a B-24J. About $400 for only a 30 minute ride - but again, where else will you get the chance? They do have an F-4D Phantom, plus many other warbirds, but don’t offer rides. I think the EAA may also do the same with a different B-17 (www.b17.org). About the same price. Both tour all around the country. Check their websites for locations.
And who says you have to fly at mach 2 to have fun? (that is probably a lot of work really - NO time for mistakes or malfunctions). Flying around in a Cessna 150 at 100kts on a clear day cross country is fun - and on those days with turbulence, an experience! And moderately affordable too. You can take lessons in a Decathalon and do unusual attitudes (loops, rolls, spins, inverted) too.
I guess teh T-41 isn’t really sexy enough, though I have over 300 hrs of Instruction Given, in the A, B, and C models. I tell you what, going at Vx with 210 hp min weight with a climb prop from sea level will really get you happy. We used to call them U-2 takeoffs, and loved to show those guys in the black jet how to to it right. At least as right as you could in a 172. The T-34 is fun too, but if I could just sterap ohn a pair of spurs and slide into just one F-104… even just to taxi it and make the engine grrrrrrrowlllll.

Sorry for the double post… I hadn’t checkedd for typos then hit the wrong button…
Flying Prowlers is where I get the money to make models in the first place, for whatever THAT’S worth…
Hey now,
My pick would have to be either the P-39 or the Stang[:D]. H*ll I’ll take the stick on both of them.
My first flight was a B-25, can you say SWEET…!!! I also have about 45hrs stick time(front seat) in the T-6
Flaps up,Mike
PS YEA BERNY[:p]
The Planes of Fame museum at Chino California gives warbird rides, but the only ones they give rides in that have dual controls are their T6 & B-25. Not sure if they allow passengers to take the controls. There is a dual controlled P-51 at Chino, and I do believe that they do give rides in it and allow the passenger to take the stick.
Besides the P-47, my other “want to fly” is the Pitts Special. Knew a couple of people that owned singe-seaters, but none that had 2 seaters, so…

Ok, I’m the exception. I flew them now I’m going to model them. I started building when I was 14. Then I stoped a year later to study them books and was rewarded with the oppertunity to fly in the Canadian forces for four years. Now I’m trying to finish Belchers Tutor jet trainer that I amounced numerous flight hours on. DO I STILL DREAM THOUGH!!! I’d love to get my hands on a F4U-1D and take it to heven and back
I like to fly in ME-262,Bf-109Gs[specially in plane number 1 + ~ it’s Hartmann plane ] and Fw-109 If I have chance in my life to fly them I will not leave that chance however it’s hard to be true
[V] I like to learn how to fly would u?
No doubts - Hawker Hurricane Mk I or/and Spitfire IX - I really love these birds ! Aleksander
Got to be a Hunter ,that plane is sex with wings. a close second is an EE Lightning cos my grandad used to build em cheers GREGERS
I couldn’t choose a specific aircraft or spacecraft. I would like to experence all
of them. Everyones has good taste on what they have chosen, and others have
told of the many opportunities to fly in the older warbirds. For those who want
to be a pilot, (the first step) that will get you where you want to go.3,000-4,000
is the cost for all this fun.working with preservation organizations like the CAF
will help as well along with letting you crawl through a 1:1 operating model of
your favorite. AT an airshow I paid 5.00 to sit in a P-51 Cockpit for 10 minutes
and enjoyed it emencely. Lord knows How I would have felt if they would have
let me take it for a spin! Owning a plane or a warbird is an amazing experience
wether a P-51 or a Cessna 182E (the one airplane I did Own). I have my eye on
a T-38 and/or a AH-1F I saw in a sales paper for aircraft for only 1.2 mill each. It’s
a good price and it could work except I’m 1.2 mill short! Oh but to dream…
